Jesup Police responded to a vandalism in progress at 814 1st Street. Upon arrival, Officers apprehended and arrested Hunter Alan Bowman (15) of Jesup and Blake Andrew Higgins (16) of Gilbertville. Bowman and Higgins are charged with Criminal Mischief, Criminal Trespass and Interference with Official Acts for attempting to run from Police Officers. Both juveniles were booked in to the Buchanan County and Jail and released to their parents.

Jesup Police responded to Bucketz Bar for an assault that had just occurred. Upon arrival, officers discovered that Mark Krieger (25) of Jesup assaulted Dwight Fratzke. Krieger’s assault on Fratzke also caused damage to Fratzke’s motorcycle, which was in close proximity during the assault. The damages to Fratzke’s motorcycle are approximately $1,700.00. A promise to appear has been issued for Krieger, who left the scene before officers arrived. Krieger’s charge is Simple Assault, a simple misdemeanor.

Jesup Police Responded to the apartments at Main & Church Streets in reference to an unattended death. Officers identified the deceased as Vernon Chapman of Jesup. Officers remained with the deceased until the Medical Examiner arrived.

Jesup Police Arrested Dustin Lee Wilkinson (22) of Independence for Operating While Intoxicated – 1st Offense. Wilkinson was stopped in the 200 block of 6th Street for driving Left of the Center Line, as he traveled north on 6th Street. Wilkinson and his passenger Kailey Jane Riggle (21) of Dike, were both cited for having open containers in the vehicle. Wilkinson was additionally charged for Interference with Official Acts for resisting arrest, and Left of Center, a moving violation.

Jesup Police arrested Dan Youngblut (56) of Jesup for Driving While License Barred for Habitual Offender. Youngblut was stopped in the 1000 block of Purdy Street after failing to stop for the sign at the intersection of 10th and Douglas Street. There was no insurance on the vehicle as well. Youngblut was cited for Failure to Stop and No Insurance in addition to his arrest.

Jesup Police were dispatched to 1355 4th Street #3 in reference to a domestic dispute that had just occurred. After investigation of all parties involved, Ricky Frahm (51) of Jesup was charged with Serious Domestic Assault against his son, Justin Frahm (19) and Simple Domestic Assault against his wife, Teresa Frahm (48). A No Contact Order (NCO) will be put into effect to protect the victims from the aggressor.

Jesup Police investigated a hit and run in the 900 block of Prospect Street. A legally parked 2008 GMC Sierra owned bu McAllister Concrete was struck by a 1999 Pontiac Sunfire operated by Micaela Tedesco of Independence. An information exchange was completed between both parties. No citations were issued.
