Jesup Police arrested James Carl Voshell (35) of Jesup for Driving While License Suspended for non-payment of Iowa fine. Voshell was transported to Buchanan County Jail for processing. Voshell was also cited for No Proof of Current Insurance.

January 22, 2012Jesup Police responded to a 911 call for a domestic dispute in progress at 646 5th Street. After investigating the incident, Nathaniel James Kopel (28) of Jesup was arrested for Simple Domestic Assault. Kopel allegedly assaulted his girlfriend. Kopel was transported to Buchanan County Jail for processing.

January 16, 2012Jesup Police issued warrants for Theodore James Hurst (32) of Waterloo, IA for Domestic Assault and Criminal Mischief. Hurst made threatening statements and gestures to Michelle Bitel (25) of Jesup and threw a rock at her vehicle.

January 8, 2012Jesup Police arrested Patrick Amado Santiago (16) of Waterloo for Criminal Trespass and Driving While License Suspended. Santiago had parked his vehicle near the office building at the ECI Co-op’s anhydrous plant on Benson Shady Grove, then got out and started walking around the buildings as a police officer arrived. Santiago was released to his mother.
